Inspired by infinite possibilities, the 1100 Louisiana lobby welcomes the world with a place to gather, to explore, to seek and find respite. The lobby is where skyscraper meets subterranean—a focal point of energy and innovation for Houston. Embedded within the lobby, the digital backdrop provides visual connection to all passersby and conveys a story of Houston pride, synced to the pulse of the day’s activity.
Curated content arrives each day, responding to the unique contours of the backdrop as it tethers the ground level to the tunnels below. The content is commissioned and designed by local Houstonians, and emblematic of the energy and vigor drawn from the city's natural surroundings. Each day, content and concepts are remixed, sometimes subtly, sometimes distinctively. A fresh take on the city gives the imagination a burst of inspiration without limit, all at the confluence of 1100 Louisiana's activity.

Light from the most distant stars takes 13.5 billion years to reach us. That light is a memory from the earliest moments of our universe. From the edges of the Milky Way, when light left the most distant stars in our galaxy our early human ancestors were just starting to make fire here on Earth. Fifty years ago humankind first walked on the surface of the Moon, thanks to the ingenuity and verve of NASA scientists at Johnson Space Center here in Houston. Today, you can witness high-definition footage of astronauts on space-walks, rocket launches, cutting-edge cosmological imagery and other scientific content. And you can do it over your morning pastry, through the 1100 Louisiana partner content agreement with NASA.

Hines and the 1100 Louisiana team are committed to bringing authentic and inspiring content to the inhabitants of the building, whether they linger or leapfrog, whether it's their first time or thousandth. In partnership with the premiere cultural and educational presences in Houston, we anticipate the 1100 Louisiana lobby to be a forum of inspiring and energizing visual content day after day.
